a professional development project enabling
teachers and students to investigate local environmental questions
with innovative tools and scientific datasets. Presented by Appalachian
Laboratory Environmental Science Education (University of Maryland),
iGIS targets Maryland, Pennsylvania and West Virginia science
teachers in the Appalachian region.This project is funded by
the National Science Foundation as part of the Information
Technology Experiences for Students and Teachers (ITEST) program.
